The Challenge

Following the merger with Optimus Cards, Uphold needed to establish a US entity in the UK to support its evolving business. Ingham Jones worked closely with the Head of MRO to develop an entire compliance team within 12 months.

The challenge was to identify and secure an entire specialist team focusing on compliance and financial crime disciplines, ensuring the business had the expertise needed to navigate regulatory requirements and support its continued growth.

The Outcome

Between 2021 and 2022, Ingham Jones successfully delivered seven placements, helping to build out the compliance function across key areas of the business.

Appointments included Compliance Managers, an AML Operations Manager, a Compliance Assurance & Monitoring Manager, a Fraud Manager and Financial Crime Analysts. These hires strengthened the team's capabilities across compliance oversight, policy and advisory, anti-money laundering and financial crime operations.
